Bernard Horbrook is the fourth out of six children born in Chicago Illinois. After being raised as a Catholic for 18 years, Bernard came into the true knowledge of Christ on January 21, 1977 under the Pastorate of the late Elder Walter Bell of the House of Prayer for All Nations. He repented of his sins, was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and was filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues that very night according as it is written in the book of Acts chapter 2. In 1982 after years of servitude and faithfulness he accepted the call to the ministry as an Evangelist. His walk with the Lord led him to become Associate Pastor of The House of Prayer for All Nations where his brother Pastor Michael Horbrook still remains as Senior Pastor this day. Pastor Bernard Horbrook later became a member of Apostolic Assembly of the Lord Jesus Christ International church under the leadership of Bishop Jerry L. Jones Sr. During his time at the assembly, Pastor Horbrook served in various capacities. His last official title was the Minister Alliance Chairperson as the coordinator of approximately 40 ministers.
Upon request from Bishop Jones to find out the needs to revitalize a before time planted church in Rockford (First Apostolic Church of Rockford), Pastor Horbrook finds himself answering the call to Pastor and was installed as Pastor in 2004 by the late and then Diocesan Bishop Dr. D Rayford Bell and by his pastor the current Diocesan Bishop Jerry L. Jones Sr. within the PCAF (Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith) organization. He remained pastor at First Apostolic for 18 years. After years of dedicated service to the church, God decided that it was time for elevation. Pastor Horbrook is now the current Pastor and Overseer of Lighthouse Temple Pentecostal Church Incorporated, which is a fully functional and operational church that has been given unto the Pastor and his congregation as a true blessing from the Lord.
In addition to a new church home, new name, and new location Pastor Bernard Horbrook was elevated and confirmed to the office of District Elder during the 2018 PCAF National Convention. Pastor Horbrook is the husband of one wife, Evangelist Marjorie Horbrook and the father of eight children. He currently works for UPS in the Building and Systems Engineering Department. He has worked in this capacity for over 20 years in conjunction with the ministry. Pastor Horbrook is very much so looking forward to retire from his secular job and duties, but never to retire from his service to the Lord.
